Nena Bartlett Whitfield is from Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Washington, DC upon completing her Master's program in Diplomacy from Norwich University in Vermont in 2007. She has previously worked at the Cato Institute and been involved with a number of political campaigns, most recently as assistant campaign manager for now junior Senator Rand Paul. After the 2010 elections, Nena joined Sen. Paul in his Washington, DC office as a Legislative Aide on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. Nena became the Executive Director of the Ladies of Liberty Alliance (LOLA) in 2011 and left Capitol Hill in 2013 to devote herself to LOLA full-time. Nena speaks Spanish and Portuguese and travels frequently for work and pleasure with her 18-month-old daughter Dagny. This is Nena's 6th FreedomFest.
