Roemer McPhee

Roemer McPhee was trained in history at Princeton University, and in finance at the Wharton Graduate School of Business, in Philadelphia. He met the great investor Robert W. Wilson in New York City in 1989, on the social scene. He was fortunate enough to get to know Wilson fairly well over the following two decades. His book on Wilson is a career story, rather than a full biography. On the numbers, Robert Wilson is the greatest investor of all time. He made more money in the U.S. stock market, in terms of what he started with ($15,000 in 1958), than anyone else ever has. His career return, after taxes no less, is more than five million percent. Roemer McPhee is also the author of The Boomer's Guide to Story (2011), a large collection of essays looking for wisdom and insight in modern story-telling. He lives in New York City with his wife and son.
