Tracy Lawson

Author

When Tracy Lawson was in elementary school, her run for student council president was undone by a rival candidate’s promise of unlimited free malts in the cafeteria. She’s been a libertarian—and wary of political promises—ever since.

After a twenty-five year career teaching dance and choreographing musicals, Tracy turned to writing full time in 2012, and now has to her credit the four-volume, award-winning young adult Resistance Series and two nonfiction history books. Her work has also appeared in an anthology about the current relevance of George Orwell’s novel 1984.

Tracy is married with one grown daughter and two spoiled cats, and divides her time between Columbus, Ohio and Dallas, Texas.
